Our Services

​In-Home End-of-Life Care

(typically 30-60 minutes)

Fee: Cats and other small pets $300, Dogs $325 additional fees may apply for addresses outside of our service area and appointments outside of normal hours and holidays.

1. Pre-Appointment Arrangements

   • Streamlined Process: Handle all paperwork, forms, and payments in advance to ensure a stress-free experience on the day of the appointment.

2. Initial Assessment

   • We travel to your home or place of choice and provide a compassionate and serene in-home setting for your pet’s final moments.

   • Tailored to meet the specific needs of your pet and family, ensuring a respectful and peaceful transition.

3. Aftercare Services

   • Transport to Good Shepherd Crematorium: Cremation services are an additional fee depending on your selections. You may wish to select private cremation where your pets ashes are returned to you, group cremation where your pet is cremated with other pets that all cross the rainbow bridge together and their ashes are not returned to you, or arrangements for burial. An environmentally friendly bag can be provided for home burial at your request. 

   • Guidance and Support: Provided resources through our webpage for Grief Support hotlines and websites.

4. Follow-Up Coordination

   • Veterinarian Notification: We will inform your family veterinarian of your pet’s passing.

   • Coordinating return of your pets cremains. (for private cremation through Good Shepherd)

 

Private Cremation

- This includes a carved wooden urn, laser engraved pet name and paw print, and a clay paw print.  Transportation of your pet is arranged through Brass Veterinary Services. Price is based on the weight of the pet, additional fees may apply for dogs over 150 lbs. 

• Up to 49 pounds       $295

• 50-99 pounds           $325

• 100 pounds or more   $375

Communal cremation

-group cremation with no return of cremains. Ashes will be spread by Good Shepherd in a designated location. 

• Under 100 lbs $100

• Over 100 lbs $165

​Additional Fees may apply for holidays, after hours and weekends.  

 

Planning ahead: 

Some planning ahead is beneficial in order to have a peaceful goodbye. Most families want to avoid an emergency with end of life care.  When possible it is best to schedule at least 2 days ahead. Think about who you will want to be there or who might want to say goodbye ahead of time.  ​If you have scheduled with us and your pet's condition worsens we will work to accommodate an earlier appointment if possible.
